EXTENSION OF JUSTICE ONLINE TO CRIMINAL PTCS AT THE SUBORDINATE COURTS
We are happy to announce that the Subordinate Courts will be extending the use of Justice Online to defence counsels, attending Criminal PTCs at the Centralised PTC Court (Court 17). We will be piloting JOL Criminal PTCs between 2 February 2009 to 1 March 2009.

. Airtime charges incurred for the JOL Criminal PTC pilot will be waived.

With effect from 2 March 2009, the use of Justice Online for Criminal PTCs at the Centralised PTC Court will be available to all JOL subscribers.

I am also happy to inform that we have completed the development of JOL2.5 to enable:
1. Multi-party Anchor Tenant PDRC hearings
2. Enhanced Audio and Video Quality
3. Vista compatibility
4. Easier document/photograph presentation at the law firms and the Courts
FYI, Item 1 will mean that you will be able to use JOL for PDRC hearings in cases involving other anchor tenants. Currently, cases involving 2 Anchor Tenants cannot be JOL-ed.
Chamber 1 (Joyce Low) will be piloting the JOL2.5 wef 22 October 2008. We will be contacting the Chamber 2 Anchor Tenants shortly to arrange your upgrade to JOL2.5. We will also be contacting other JOL subscribers to test drive the JOL2.5 before its formal launch.
